Influences on the adoption of global marketing decision support systems: a management perspective
Article Abstract:
Marketing decision support systems (MDSS) assist marketing executives in making decisions over organization changes and business operations. Alignment of managers' objectives with the recommended goals helps change organizational behavior and decision-making processes. However, adoption of information systems is slow because of the absence of data showing that it increases profits and improves the decision-making process.

Hungarian software marketer links with Hewlett-Packard
Article Abstract:
Optical Character Recognition software maker, Recognita of Budapest, has entered into a marketing agreement with Hewlett-Packard (H-P) for its Recognita Form 2.0 software. The software, which is available in 80 languages, is being included with sales of H-P scanners. The software enables information to be read from business forms and entered automatically on to relevant databases.
