Current laws governing fertility treatment are likely to become even more confusing and inadequate. British law ignores reproductive technology's quick and unpredictable pace, and tends defer legal and moral decisions to physicians and scientists, who are ill-equipped to make non-clinical decisions.

Mr Walsh's diversion
Article Abstract:
Walsh's office has spent 5 years and $35 million investigating and indicting alleged Iran-Contra offenders. Most of them have been acquitted or have had judgements against them overturned. The office of Special Prosecutor should be eliminated or expanded to include investigations of Congress.

Pardonable confusion

Pres Bush's pardon of six defendants in the Iran-contra scandal borders what could be considered unacceptable use of executive power. The constitution is very ambiguous on the foreign policy powers of the president, and Bush felt he was within his rights on the matter.
