Coporate governance, regulatory changes and coprporate restructuring in Korea, 1993-2004
Article Abstract:
The impacts of the changes in business environments and corporate governance on restructuring of Korean firms are investigated. Findings revealed that regulatory changes in corporate governance and institutional ownership had significant influence on Korean companies' restructuring during 1993-2004. The effectiveness of corporate governance which depends on government regulations is analyzed.
