Cost models in nonhomogeneous Markov systems
Article Abstract:
Appropriate objective functions were proposed for distinguishing the phases of a nonhomogeneous Markov system (NHMS) and providing policies that are subjected to the constraints imposed by the manpower system mechanism. The method for dealing with the problem of introducing the phases of a nonhomogeneous Markov system can be utilized to summarize the phases, objective functions and control policies. Furthermore, a stationary form was derived from the initial NHMS structure based on the summarizations of objective functions.

Aspirations and priorities in a three phase approach of a nonhomogeneous Markov system
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the application of aspiration levels and priorities using goal programming in a manpower nonhomogeneous Markov system that evolves in three phases. The general goal programming method was utilized in several variations that depend on the phase to determine appropriate input policies. Other aspects of human resource planning which can be examined in combination with the goal programming method were discussed.

Partial maintainability and control in nonhomogeneous Markov manpower systems
Article Abstract:
An anlysis of recruitment control in nonhomogeneous Markov manpower systems is presented in terms of structure subsets in a graded environment which is maintained in one step with partial information needed as per subset. The appropriate conditions are obtained while regions of partially maintainable structures are defined using the Simplex algorithm. Several cases are presented to illustrate the numerical computations.
