Crime-fighting for the masses
Article Abstract:
Vietnam has put 155 defendants on trial for engaging in organized crime, including murder, gambling, etc. Also in this group of defendants were Communist Party officials accused of corruption. However, some people in the country believe that the government should have prosecuted more corrupt government officials. The actions closely parallel a movie on the same subject in which the defends, after being found guilty, were released.
