Article Abstract:
Media companies are vying to gain market share with the growth of the Internet as the new communication medium. The Internet and on-line services have brought new topologies of communication which are more efficient than the old topologies which included point-to-point communication and broadcasts. Easy communication is possible through bulletin boards, e-mail, and Internet news groups. People can publish materials for others on the World Wide Web. Media companies' domination is over and they are attuning themselves to the altered conditions by accepting the customers' terms.

Currency turbulence
Article Abstract:
Recent research has looked at the three main exchange rate policies pursued by governments, considering whether there is a single correct approach or whether different approaches are appropriate for different times. In the UK, the suspension from the ERM in Sep 1992 was dismissed by some observers as an economic and political disaster. However, it actually prompted economic recovery, as devaluation gave the UK a competitive advantage. In Germany, interest rates were increased after reunification, and this prevented other European governments from lowering interest rates.
