DENMARK: BRYGGERIGRUPPEN'S FIRST HALF 2001 RESULTS
Article Abstract:
Bryggerigruppen, the Danish brewing group, reports a pre-tax profit of DKr65.5mn in the first half of 2001 on a turnover of DKr1,671mn in the first half of 2001, up 30% on the same period last year. The good results are partly ascribed to Bryggerigruppen's take-over of Albani group last year. Bryggerigruppen boosted its sales of beer and soft drinks by 30.4% to 2.2mn hectolitres. The group stands by its pre-tax profit forecast of DKr200-220mn for the whole of 2001. Bryggerigruppen consists of Albani, Faxe, Ceres, Thor, Robert Cain in England and Vilnius Taurus in Lithuania.
