DENMARK: DEBENHAMS TO OPEN IN ORESTADSCENTER
Article Abstract:
The British retailer Debenhams is negotiating about opening a branch in orestadscenter in two years. Orestadscenter, which is now under construction, will be a retailing centre outside Copenhagen, on the way to Oresundsbron, the new bridge between Denmark and Sweden. Debenhams will partially compete with Danish retailer Magasin. Group director of Magasin, Lars Ive, says Debenhams is a low cost retailer, compared with Magasin, but that Magasin surely can learn from Debenhams skills in making profit. Icelandic Baugur will be Debanhams[acute accent] franchiser in orestadscenter.
