DENMARK: DONG TO OPEN NEW GAS PIPELINE
Article Abstract:
The Danish gas company DONG has invested DKr 2bn (USD 0.3bn) in a new offshore gas pipeline, which will transport gas from the field Syd Arne in the North Sea. The pipeline will be taken into operation in a few days. The gas will be transported to DONG's processing plant at Nybro, and further afield to gas customers in Denmark, Sweden and Germany.

DENMARK: ON THE FUTURE OF BALTIC PIPE

DONG of Denmark and POGC, the state-owned Polish gas company, have agreed to set 1st July as the deadline regarding the final decision about the future of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline between Denmark and Poland. If the parties decide in favour of the pipeline the project will be completed by 1st October 2003.

DENMARK: DENMARK AND POLAND TO SIGN GAS AGREEMENT
Article Abstract:
Denmark and Poland are to sign the Baltic Pipe agreement soon. The agreement will considerably consolidate's DONG's position in the deregulated gas market. DONG will thus be able to supply two billion cubic metres of gas annually to Poland and to the Baltic area.
