Time to deal on trade

US politics have been marked by a new bipartisanship since the terrorist attacks on Sep 11, 2001, but this may be tested by the debate over Trade Promotion Authority or 'fast-track' authority. Those that oppose the bill are claiming it would jeopardise the spirit of bipartisanship.
