DENMARK/POLAND: TDC WANTS LARGER SHARE OF POLKOMTEL

Danish TDC is planning to increase their engagement in the Polish subsidiary Polkomtel, Poland's second largest mobile phone company, and one of TDC's most successful businesses. According to TDC's CEO, Henning Dyremose, two out of the three Polish owners has expressed an interest in selling their share. The increased ownership may take place in collaboration with the joint owner Vodafone. Today, TDC and Vodafone own almost 20 percent each of the company.

DENMARK:LTD MAKES A LOW BID FOR CHECH FIRM
Article Abstract:
The bid placed by TDC, the Danish telecoms company, for the Czech state's stake in Ceske Radiokomunikace was lower than the Czech state had hoped for. This is expected to result in postponing the bidding process regarding Ceske Radiokomunikace. The final decision, however, will be announced on Monday.
