DENMARK: PUMPS TO REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION
Article Abstract:
Through energy-saving pumps manufactured by the Danish company Grundfos, energy consumption in Europe could be reduced by 9,400 GWh a year, corresponding to two thirds of Danish energy consumption. To achieve this, 10.5mn large pumps and 60mn small pumps have to replaced. So writes the company itself in a new environment report. The report, which includes all seven plants in the group, both in Denmark and abroad, is considered being the most extensive environment report issued by a Danish company. All plants are certified according to the ISO 14,001 standard.
