DENMARK: "SPEED UP MOBILE INTERNET GROWTH"
Article Abstract:
Michael Hasselris, the Danish top executive in IBM's global organisation, says Danmark has all the requirements to develop its infrastructure in order to bring country to the cutting edge of the mobile IT business. The country has a high mobile phone penetration and high rate of access to the Internet. By comparison, less than 38% of people in the US have mobile phones and 38% have access to the Internet. Despite this, mobile Internet development is advancing at a rapid pace whereas Denmark lags behind in this respect. According to Hasselris, mobile Internet can be used to increase productivity and to cut costs both in the public as well as in the private sector. In the US, for example, it is the hospital sector that uses mobile Internet to cut costs.
