DENMARK: SURPLUS IN PAYMENT BALANCE
Article Abstract:
For the period November 1998-October 1999, the Danish payment balance showed a more than DKr 4bn (USD 545mn) surplus, according to Danmarks Statistik, the Danish statistical office. The is more than anticipated by prognosis makers. The main reason is a decline in imports, at the same time as exports are increasing.
