DENMARK: TD IN INTELLIGENT HOUSE PROJECT
Article Abstract:
As the first telecom operator, Tele Danmark, the Danish telecom, has been invited to participate in the intelligent house project recently launched by the Swedish companies Ericsson and Electrolux. In the beginning of the year 2000, 200 households in Denmark will start testing the technology. So far, SEK 70mn (USD 9mn) has been invested in the joint venture between Ericsson and Electrolux. The aim is to develop open standards which makes it possible for other producers of home appliances to develop products for the system, i.e. so-called plug-and-use appliances which can be operated by wireless systems.

DENMARK: IT FACTORY TO CO-OPERATE WITH ORIGIN
Article Abstract:
IT Factory, the Danish software company, has signed a strategic agreement with the major Dutch IT group Origin. The Danish company's products will be marketed globally by Origin, and IT Factory will get access to more than 100 of the 500 largest companies in the world through Origin. IT Factory develops software solutions for Lotus Notes and Domino.
