DENMARK: US SOFTWARE GIANT PTC TO EXPAND

The US software giant Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC) is ready to expand on the Danish market through its subsidiary Parametric Technology Denmark A/S. Its turnover has increased from DKr 5 million in 1995 to DKr 27 million (US$ 3.86 mn) at the end of 1998. Over the next five years, PTD A/S expects an annual 70 percent growth. In particular, MD Peter James van Hauen says a very strong growth in intelligent production control systems is expected. PTC's main business sector is development and marketing of software for product development and information.

SWEDEN: TELE DANMARK ACQUIRES INTERNORDIA
Article Abstract:
Internordia, the Swedish supplier of datacoms and telecoms equipment, is now 100% owned by Tele Danmark, the Danish telecom. Until now, the company has been 50% owned by Tele Danmark and Telenor, the Norwegian telecom, respectively. Telenor's 50% stake has been acquired for SEK 74mn (USD 9mn).
