DTHs target urban cable markets
Article Abstract:
Canada's satellite TV providers are no longer content in offering their services to rural regions but have started to move into the domains of urban cable television. Among them is Bell ExpresVu, which expects that 70% of its new customers would be former cable TV subscribers. Its closest rival, StarChoice Communications, also has similar plans. Bell ExpressVu has an estimated 223,000 subscribers while StarChoice has 225,000. Both companies say that they will add new video and audio channels.
