Daggers drawn up north
Article Abstract:
Peel Airports, the developer behind the 80 million pounds sterling Doncaster Finningley Airport Scheme, has objected to the Office of Fair Trading about the proposed takeover of East Midlands Airport by Manchester Airport. Peel Airports' concern is on the potential dominant position of the Manchester Airport group, which also includes Hmberside, in which it has an 83% stake. It is also irritated at what it calls the anti- competitive stance taken by the Manchester group in trying to block the opening of the former Royal Air Force airbase at Finningley.
