Denmark: 2M Invest receives DKr33mn

Danish venture capital company 2M Invest receives DKr33mn(US$3.9mn) in new capital. Lars Kolind of the Danish company Growth invests DKr10mn and takes a seat in the board. Michael Mathiesen of 2M Invest will also take a seat in the board of Growth. 2M and Growth will cooperate in the development of new companies. The two companies have agreed to each acquire a third of the shares in the other company. As a result of the plans 2M Invest's share went up 20%.

DENMARK: PEN-SAM TO BLOCK SUPERFOS-TAKE OVER?

The Danish pension fund Pen-Sam, that owns 9% of the shares in industry group Superfos, is very disappointed at British CVC Capital Partners acquisition proposal for Superfos. According to Lars Steen Hansen the bid is not serious and Pen-Sam now plans to acquire an additional stake of the shares in Superfos to block an acquisition.

DENMARK: BRANDTS TO EXPAND ABROAD

The Danish venture capital company Brandts Klaedesfabrik has acquired the Danish Internet companies Netauktion.dk and Multigraph International. Through these companies, Brandts is planning to expand in eastern Europe. Subsidiaries have already been established in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania.
