Denmark: Danisco welcomes Genencor-Procter&Gamble deal

Danisco welcomes the Procter & Gamble contract won by the partly US-owned bio-technology company Genencor for the supply of enzymes for laundry and dish detergents over a five-year period. Danisco owns a 42.3% stake in Genencor. According to Genencor ceo W.Thomas Mitchell, this contract is the biggest contract won by Genencor and the biggest ever contract within the enzyme market. Danisco has a sole right for Genencor's R&D operations regarding bio-ingredients to foodstuffs.

DENMARK: APM SIGNS A TANKER CONTRACT

A.P.Moller (APM) has signed a contract with Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea to invest DKr1.7bn in the construction of a LNG tanker that is scheduled to be delivered in 2004. Bjarne Hansen of A.P.Moller declines to comment the rumours, according to which the company is to place another order for a sister ship for the LNG tanker.
