Denmark: Exports affected by Swedish crown
Article Abstract:
The Swedish crown has dropped 10% in value during the last six months. The drop has affected Danish exports since Sweden is Denmark's second biggest export market, according to Handelskammeret, the Danish chamber of commerce. However, Danish importers have profited from the drop which makes Swedish produce cheaper in Denmark. Last year Danish exports to Sweden increased by 30.6%. The increase during the first six months of this year was 10%, compared with the same period of last year. This increase will probably not continue during the second half of this year because of the Swedish crown s decreasing value, lower demand in Sweden and an expected lower increase of production in Sweden.

DENMARK: FORECAST FOR EXPORTS
Article Abstract:
Dansk Industri, the federation of Danish industries, exports a 5% increase in Danish total exports in 2001, and a 5% growth in industrial exports in 2002 and 2003. This is more than anticipated by other forecast makers; Nordea anticipates a 3% growth in 2001 and Jyske Bank 3.3%. Dansk Industri states that the increase in 2001 mainly will be attributed to agricultural products.
