Radici Group (Italy), textile firm, will invest 18.5 mil Kc in carpet-yarn production in the Czech Republic. For the purpose, the firm has set up a branch named Logit (Czech Republic) and begun building a new plant in Podborany, Czech Republic. The firm plans to begin exporting carpet yarns from the Czech Republic by the end of 1998, mainly to Germany and Belgium. It the investment pays off, the firm will produce polyamide fibres in the Czech Republic too. Logit should employ 150 workers in the Czech Republic.

Kautex Textron Bohemia (KTB) (Czech Republic), car component manufacturer, saw a turnover of 1 bil Kc in 1997. About 80% of the sum was represented by supplies for the car company Skoda Auto (SA) (Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic). In May 1998 KTB supplied the millionth plastic fuel tank to SA. Besides fuel tanks, KTB supplies other components to SA. KTB is a part of the multinational company Kautex, which started to co-operate with SA in 1984.
