DENMARK: FACTOR ENTERS THE DANISH MARKET
Article Abstract:
Factor, the Norwegian insurance broker, has entered the Danish market by acquiring the small Danish insurance broker Swan. However, Factor's plan is much more ambitious. According to chairman Jorn Allan Pedersen the company is planning to buy suitable small or mid-sized Danish insurance brokers and make Factor one of Denmark's four leading companies. A recent amendment to the Danish act on insurance broker business has made it difficult for independent insurance brokers to meet education demands and to keep authorizations.
