Dialog Corp. posted a decline of 76% in its pretax profits for the first-half of 1999. The company also increased its spending for the development of its Internet strategy. Dialog, a provider of online information, posted 1.7 million pound sterling (2.6 million euros) in pretax profits for the period. During the same period in 1998, the company posted 7 million pound sterling.
