Implementing continuous improvement in the North American mining industry
Article Abstract:
A study of the means to a successful implementation of continuous improvement (CI) in the mining industry of North America has been conduced. A total of 24 firms, each with annual revenues of more than $100 million, participated in the survey. The results indicate that employee participation was the most important criterion that needs to be addressed in CI implementation. Other factors that must be addressed include corporate presence, adoption of practical goals and customer-oriented strategy.
