Don't shoot the handover messenger
Article Abstract:
Thomas Axmacher, chairman of the Hong Kong Hotels Association, and radio journalist Ted Thomas are accusing foreign journalists of trying to advance the idea that Hong Kong will not survive in the hands of China. Axmacher claims the media are to blame for 10,000 hotel cancellations. Thomas, and certainly the Chinese authorities, should stop ignoring the foreign media if they want a positive review of the handover proceedings.
