Article Abstract:

However, there are ominous signs that such hopes will not come to fruition. Anglican Bishop Kwong Kong-kit has accepted a position on the Hong Kong Preparatory Committee (PC), a body appointed by Chinese leaders to handle the transition of Hong Kong to Chinese rule. Many believe that the PC will move to dilute the rights and freedoms currently enjoyed by Hong Kong residents.
