Dr Lisa Kaufmann, who runs a program on "mindful eating" at the State University of New York-Syracuse, says that people need to learn to eat what they like, so that they can enjoy everything that they eat, without overeating. An important aspect of mindful eating is concentrate on the task of eating, without the distraction of factors such as reading or talking.
