Moving the goods to Latin America
Article Abstract:
Exporters of goods to Latin America are advised to work with shippers experienced in negotiating the region's difficult trade routes. Problems include strikes and delays at customs, tariff structures that are always in flux, gyrating currency values, and widespread smuggling. These difficulties have forced some manufacturers to source from other regions, even if the cost of the goods may be more expensive.
