Elspeth Huxley

Elspeth Huxley was a zealous advocate of white rule in Kenya during the colonialism in the 1930s. She wrote a biography that became the official propaganda for white settlement there. She also wrote novels about Africa, including 'The Flame Trees of Thika.'

Digby Baltzell
Article Abstract:
Baltzell is credited with coining the term WASP, for white, Anglo-Saxon Protestant. He wrote an influential book in 1964 called 'The Protestant Establishment: Aristocracy and Caste in America.' He died at 80 on Aug 17, 1996.
