Eni posts 28% drop in profit, confirms oil-project delays

Eni S.p.A. of Italy announced delays in production and increased costs at the Kashagan petroleum fields in Kazakhstan. The petroleum giant posted a slide in net profit by 28 percent to 1.52 billion Euros ($1.99 billion). Revenues are due to a stronger Euro, disruptions in production and lower margins for refining petroleum.
