Eni to pay $4.8 bil for Dominion's assets in Gulf of Mexico

Italian petroleum company Eni S.p.A. will purchase the Gulf of Mexico assets of US-based Dominion Resources Inc. for $4.8 bil, which is expected to raise Eni's production from 36, 000 to 110,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. $680 mil of exploration assets are included in the deal.
