Article Abstract:

Architect and painter David Hepher is showing a collection of his work at the Museum of London which focuses on the negative and positive aspects of high-rise flats and tower blocks in the city of London. Hepher uses an usual painting technique where he takes a large photograph of his subject, then partially covers an area with concrete paint then covers other ares with painted signs and graffiti.

Article Abstract:

The St Mary's church, attributed to Christopher Wren is in Ingestre near Stafford, it is restored with the help of grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Historic Churches Preservation Trust and Stafford Borough Council and is now open to the public. The severe infestation was caused by the death watch beetles and the architect behind this restoration work was John Cunnington of Matlock.

Some of the paintings of John Piper displayed at the museum of reading, are discussed. He was extremely fluent and prolific and his aim in painting was to express a personal love of country and architecture and the humanity, which inhabits them.
