Ethnography and market research
Article Abstract:
Ethnography has established itself as an approach that is now a commercial research technique. But concerns with regard to commissioning ethnographic research points to not having a common ground for the practice. The need to develop a common language in order to better utilize ethnographic research is discussed.

Digital photography is increasingly being used to gather data for ethnographic research. Two issues in visual ethnography are addressed regarding concerns on research design and participant involvement in the data-gathering process.
