Euro '99: a larger-than-expected entry into Europe's economic and monetary union should not be a worry - provided the right rules are set

Leaders of the European Union will meet in early Oct 1996 to discuss possible enlargement of the Union, but the topic that really should be discussed is the pending economic and monetary union. The countries that will be allowed to join such a union is a major concern to all.
