European upturn looks set to continue
Article Abstract:
Results of the Purchasing Managers' Index for December are discussed in light of predictions that Europe will continue to experience economic growth in 2006. While manufacturing output and orders are high and a weakening euro is seen as potentially positive influence on European industry, it is suggested that a strengthening euro and moderate economic growth in the U.S. may also limit economic recovery in Europe.

China's market get a chill
Article Abstract:
The People's Bank of China said that it will increase mandatory bank reserves that are set aside for the central bank by one percentage point to 7% of deposits. The move caused stock and bond values to drop.
