Article Abstract:
More and more Indian-Americans are being drawn into public affairs in America nearly forty years after some of the first migrants came to the country in the 1960s, which is seen by many analysts as a positive step taken in the community. First generation immigrants feel they must get more involved, if they have to be heard and many are using their wealthy status to work as a political bloc because of which U.S. politicians have gone all out to woo the community.
