Expert opinion in project management

Article Abstract:

The Netherlands consultancy firmDelft Hydraulics has been developing a method for quantifying uncertainty as a subjective probability in project management. The method combines calibration and entropy to evaluate and apply expert opinion in determining the logistics of project management. Analysis of the method reveals significant differences between old and young project leaders and the ability of project leaders to plan better for small and large projects rather than medium projects.

The development of a rule based expert system model for fraud alert in consumer credit

Article Abstract:

A rule-based expert system model was developed to help banks and other financial institutions detect fraudulent use of consumer credit and to alert about such practices. The model identifies fraudulent use of credit cards during the authorization process. The model building process, prototype development and the use of the model in the analysis of real data from a Canadian bank are presented.
