FMCG COS EYE MOTOR SPORTS FOR AD MILEAGE AS CRICKET LOSES PITCH
Article Abstract:
The fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies have started to divert their sponsorship and endorsements from cricket to motor sports like motor-car-racing. The move comes as the sponsors feel that motor sports is an emerging sport which is becoming popular among the young crowd, who are the core customers of FMCG companies like Pepsi and Coca Cola. Pepsi has sponsored a few small motor sports events in Bangalore and Delhi to get some experience in the new field. The company may even build a full rally team to participate in the national motor sports events. (um)(psr)
