FP breaks out of movie house mold
Article Abstract:
Famous Players Ltd of Toronto, Ontario, has signed a contract with the World Wrestling Federation of Canada to show live pay-per-view wrestling events at its chain of theaters across the country. The move is part of the chain's efforts to market itself as an entertainment location and not just a movie house. In 1999, the theater showcased private concerts in its movie houses. Marketing support for the entertainment offering of Famous Players will come from newspaper and radio advertisements.
