France: Lee opens first boutique in Toulouse

Lee expects to open 10 boutiques in France within two years. The US jeans maker opened its first boutique in France, recently, a unit with a surface of 80 square metres in the centre of Toulouse. In addition to trousers, the boutique includes further Lee clothes (T-shirts, shirts and jackets which account for 40% of the range of Lee branded products available), and a number of other products (shoes, socks, etc.) from other companies. Lee, which turns over EUR 27.43mn in France, expects to inject EUR 18,292 to 22,865 per boutique.

EASTERN EUROPE: ANDRE'S EXPANSION

Andre, the French shoes and clothing retailer, is developing in Eastern Europe. The French company wants to open dozens of its La Halle stores in Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Some 10 outlets will be opened in these three countries very shortly. This move is part of Andre's international expansion. Exports only account for 10% of Andre's turnover.
