FRANCE: CARREFOUR GETS A NEW WAREHOUSE
Article Abstract:
Carrefour is gradually going to set up a system for supplying hypermarkets daily with textile products by the end of 2001. It is going to inaugurate a new 110,000-square metre warehouse entirely devoted to textiles in March 2001, in order to make this possible. The daily supply for stores is going to enable the group's sales people to spend more time in stores.

FRANCE: 8 NEW CARREFOUR HYPERMARKETS
Article Abstract:
In May 2000, eight Continent hypermarkets - in Amiens, Cherbourg, Vannes, Lorient, Quimper, L'Isle-Adam, Saint-Malo and Tours - will change their name to Carrefour. They were chosen because they are in isolated areas and they are far away from any Carrefour in their surrounding area. This change in retail chain involves special improvements from a list named 'Ticket minimum' which varies from FFr 3mn to FFr 4mn in cost. The next stage in the merger involves the harmonisation of the logistics systems and the standardisation of the computer systems.
