EU: WAL-MART'S GOALS
Article Abstract:
According to experts, Wal-Mart, the American giant, wants to develop throughout European Union countries. This is difficult given the consolidation among retailers in Europe and the defence mechanisms which European retailers have developed against a possible attack by Wal-Mart. Specialists say that Casino, the French retail group, and Aldi are said to be among Wal-Mart's potential clients. Wal-mart is envisaging developing in France, strengthening its position in Germany, and gaining a foothold in Spain.
