Family fleet targets royal red prawns

Musumeci family runs Better Choice Fisheries, which is now handling royal red prawn as it is very fast growing and its turnaround is just six to eight months and it is easy to market. They have 25/26 trawlers, all operated within the family. This fishery is largely dependent on the right conditions.

World's richest shrimp grounds off Canada

The St. John's, Newfoundland based shrimp trawling company Newfound Resources Limited's shrimp trawler Newfound Pioneer caught 7,000 tonnes of shrimp off the eastern coast of Canada in 2004. Brian McNamara, president of Newfound Resources outlines the operations at his company.

Basque fishermen choose Inmarsat Fleet F33
