Fear and loathing in Pyongyang
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the actions of North Korea in response to the U.S invasion of Iraq. In spite of strong statement condemning the U.S. and defending its right to nuclear arms, North Korea has not closed the door on direct talks. War on the Korean peninsula is not considered imminent.

An alliance under stress
Article Abstract:
The U.S. officials feels that North Korea should end its nuclear weapons program to minimize prospects for a breakthrough. The U.S. will bring up this issue in the six party talks to be held in Beijing in September, as earlier they have broken all their promises.
