Report finds massive monkfish stock damage
Article Abstract:
A report from Irish Sea Fisheries Board and the Marine Institute in Ireland states that the gill nets being used by Spanish operators in the west of Ireland and Scotland are depleting the monkfish stocks and deep water sharks stocks in the region. Fishing gears too get entangled in the region so there is heavy loss of fishing nets as well.
