Feeling sluggish? Syndrome X is now making more than 1 in 4 American women fatigued and overweight

Several dietary changes have been recommended by experts to help women avoid, and even reverse, syndrome X. Among these are chromium, a mineral that improves insulin efficiency by 50%, alpha-lipoic acid, a dietary enzyme that can help guard against syndrome X, and daily servings of whole grains that reduce risk of insulin resistance by 33%.
