An agreement between Fiat S.p.A. and General Motors Corp. to delay a put option will enable the two companies to resolve differences regarding its validity. GM officials believe Fiat has violated a 2000 accord involving its car unit, and have suggested they will take legal action if the put was exercised by Fiat.
