Fiat suspends workers in Argentina as soft Brazil demand damps outlook
Article Abstract:
Fiat Auto Argentina SA has suspended half of its Ferreyra plant labor force in Argentina as a result of low demand in Brazil. Fifty percent of the company's work force at the plant, which is located in Argentina's central Cordoba province, was suspended. Brazil's weak auto demand has hurt the automobile industry. An official for Fiat said the suspensions will continue indefinitely.
