Financial services strategies in the Euro-zone
Article Abstract:
The introduction of the euro at the start of 1999 will have dramatic consequences for Europe's financial services industry which faces a dramatic repositioning strategy in order to successfully compete in the euro-zone. An assessment of the strategic options facing financial services companies in the euro-zone is presented and comparisons are drawn with the US financial system. Finally, some strategy and policy indications for the future are provided.
